Velossimo Racing (Austin, TX) is a Pro/Amateur cycling team formed in 2005 that consists of almost 60 members. They compete in races all over Texas and across the USA. All of the Velossimo teammates have full-time jobs, families, and commitments that pull them in many directions.
With limited time to train and recovery being of utmost importance, Velossimo is extremely pleased to have Formutech Nutrition as a sponsor to help them achieve team success.
Most people don’t realize that professional cycling is a team -based sport. The strength of the team determines the winning rider to cross the finish line. Team success for Velossimo focuses on working together and sacrificing individual goals for the goals of the team. They are one of the top cycling teams in the state of Texas each year. Velossimo’s biggest highlight of the 2011 season was having one of their team members, Scott Simmons, win the overall title at the Fayetteville Stage Race. The winner of this race was given an invitation to race with some of the top professional cyclist in the world at Nature Valley Grand Prix.
